The largest swimming pool in the world think you know where it is?

What is a resort without a swimming pool?  Well it’s boring, and that is why nearly every resort in the world has some sort of swimming pool or water feature that you can wade into and relax.  Some will use the Resort pools for relaxation, some for simply sitting next to and capturing those fantastic sun-rays.  And yet, others will use it as part of an exercise program.  However, I would dare any of you to actually swim laps in this pool.

The World’s largest Pool.  Located in Chile at the San Alfonso del Mar Resort in Algarrobo, Chile.  Costing more than $1 Billion Dollars to build, holding more than 66 million gallons of water.  Covering nearly 20 acres, 115 feet at it’s deepest level.  The water for the Pool is not fresh water, it’s pumped in from the Ocean and is controlled to maintain it’s beautiful turquoise color, also maintaing a comfortable temperature which is 8-10 degrees warmer than the ocean.   It is a thing of beauty, technology and a modern marvel.

    Hi Scott,
Never been to there so thanks for sharing pictures and video of world’s largest swimming pool with others also. I have been doing swimming since last 2 years and found great to deal with depression and anxiety. Swimming makes heart and lungs strong and strengthen back, arms and shoulders muscles.
