Be My Guest

My Dear Friends,

I hope that this note finds you well.  If you have found this page, it’s because you have enjoyed reading the posts that I have been putting up for awhile now about my own travels.  So many of you out there have also traveled, whether it’s around the world, or just around your own town, state and country.  We would like to hear your stories.  I would like to invite all of you to write a little something about your own travels and let’s share those with the rest of the world.

Why would you do that here?  You don’t even know me, thats a fair question.  First, I have done the hard work of putting together a blog that people all around the world are reading.  So, your friends and family may already know about this blog.  So for you it’s easy, you write something that you want to share, I will format it, and put it on the blog for you.  Think about this.  In today’s world of Social Media, Online Content, Gadgets galore and so much more, it is now much easier to share your stories.  Twitter gives you 140 character to tell a story, that simply isn’t enough.  Facebook allows you to share, but even that is limited.  Here you can in fact tell your story.

Now I do have some rules for such a thing.  I am not going to allow discriminatory, hateful admissions, nor would I allow political commentary.  Also, if I won’t allow any blatant stories meant to advertise something specific.  If you want to do that, then contact me specific to that issue.  This is a about ones life of travel, whatever travel means to you.  I would hope that it tells a story of your travel, of your experience, of your view.  I will retain all rights to refuse to post someones story if it does not fit with the overall theme or feel of this blog.

So, how do you do it?

First, you simply send me an email by using the form below letting me know you would like to share your story.

Second, I will contact you directly to start a discussion about your story and what you want to submit.

Third, You will simply write your story in a simple word document, send no more than 10 pictures or 1 video (links are ok too) that support your story visually.

Then I will throw it all in a blender and post it to the Blog.  It will first show in the features section and Guest Post page (under Be My Guest), then be moved in time to this page for archiving.

I hope you will take the time to consider this, there are many places I have not been in this world, and many places you have not been, but between us maybe we can create of globe of stories.
