About the Post

Author Information

My name is Scott and I like to travel. There I said it, wow that does feel better. There is probably a program for my affliction somewhere. I am what I would consider a Normal Guy. I am a native Arizonan, sometimes we are called “Zonies”. I am in my mid 40′s and enjoy a great life. I am self employed and have a wonderful daughter and Partner. Although I would say my life is a fairly normal one, I am also quite lucky in that I have the ability to travel and enjoy the world, I enjoy learning about other cultures and experiencing the world around us. I want to be right upfront about the type of travel I enjoy and the type I don’t. You will probably not ever read a story of about me backpacking my way through the serengeti during the height of summer, nor will you probably read any stories of me sleeping in the presidential suite of the Ritz Carlton in Paris. I am not a budget traveler, nor am I an uber luxury traveler, I fall somewhere in the middle, where most people fall I believe. I started this blog for the sole purpose of sharing my stories, my views and my excitement for traveling around this world with my friends, family. However it doesn’t stop there for me, I also wanted to make friends with others around the world, those who travel and those who dream of travel. Blogs and Websites evolve over time, mine will no doubt expand over time as well please come back and see what has taken place. However if you have come to my blog to schedule a flight or a hotel, this is not the place.

My MBA, you can never learn too much

At some point in our lives we must look inward and ask if we are at the place in our lives that we want to be, or expected to be.  For the most part, I am.  Over the years I have learned that you can never have enough knowledge, that learning is something we do everyday whether we want to or not.  Like many parents, I have strived to ensure that my Daughter has had greater opportunity than I, it is a common trait amongst parents, wanting better for your children.

She has graduated from University and on to her Graduate Program.  Therefore I have decided to continue my Education by finishing my MBA.  I know what your thinking, Where does this guy find the time?  I often ask myself that same question.  Between 2 careers, a budding third one, and my travels, it can be a bit tough.  However I have decided that it is important to improve my Education.  After all it is never too late to learn.  So completing my MBA is very important to me.  I plan to have it completed and to graduate by June 10th.   WOW, that’s fast how can you do that you ask?

Oh did I mention that MBA stands for Madrid, Barcelona and Amsterdam?  NO?  I’m sorry. Yes my new education is going to be achieving my MBA by traveling to some of the Worlds greatest cities and experiencing all that they have to offer.  Now that is education!

For the next couple of weeks I will experiencing the beauty and culture of Spain, from Madrid to Barcelona and places in between.  One of the great things that European Cities have to offer is their history and culture.  Some of Worlds greatest museums are in Madrid, and without a doubt some of the worlds most unique and artistic architecture is in Barcelona.  Do I even need to mention the “Cafe’s” of Amsterdam?  Or the art of Vincent Van Gogh?

I am looking forward to bringing you all the beauty, history and culture from my perspective of these wonderful cities.  From food to art to architecture to history to bullfighting, let the Education begin.  In advance I would like to thank you for your well wishes and congratulatory comments about my pending graduation with honors, my MBA.

Happy Travels
