About the Post

Author Information

My name is Scott and I like to travel. There I said it, wow that does feel better. There is probably a program for my affliction somewhere. I am what I would consider a Normal Guy. I am a native Arizonan, sometimes we are called “Zonies”. I am in my mid 40′s and enjoy a great life. I am self employed and have a wonderful daughter and Partner. Although I would say my life is a fairly normal one, I am also quite lucky in that I have the ability to travel and enjoy the world, I enjoy learning about other cultures and experiencing the world around us. I want to be right upfront about the type of travel I enjoy and the type I don’t. You will probably not ever read a story of about me backpacking my way through the serengeti during the height of summer, nor will you probably read any stories of me sleeping in the presidential suite of the Ritz Carlton in Paris. I am not a budget traveler, nor am I an uber luxury traveler, I fall somewhere in the middle, where most people fall I believe. I started this blog for the sole purpose of sharing my stories, my views and my excitement for traveling around this world with my friends, family. However it doesn’t stop there for me, I also wanted to make friends with others around the world, those who travel and those who dream of travel. Blogs and Websites evolve over time, mine will no doubt expand over time as well please come back and see what has taken place. However if you have come to my blog to schedule a flight or a hotel, this is not the place.

Forgive me for I have…..

Forgive me Readers for I have sinned.  The ultimate Bloggers Sin.  It’s been nearly a month since my last post.  As penance I must write for days and days until something is worthwhile to put on this Blog.

How can one expect to increase their readership if one doesn’t post on a regular basis?  This question has dogged me for more than a year.  How are some bloggers able to post everyday, sometimes multiple times throughout the day?  This is one of the great mysteries of the World along with the Pyramids, Crop Circles, Sasquatch and Facebook’s privacy settings.

As much as I would like to post daily, this past month has been a real challenge in terms of finding the time to do so.  Unlike some out there, I do this as a hobby as a way of chronicling my adventures and sharing my opinions.  When I write something to put on this Blog, it has real meaning to me, it is something I feel strongly about or have done, which allows me to find the words to put to screen.  Sadly life has gotten in the way of my having fun lately.  When Scott doesn’t have fun, Scott has little to write about.

You may not know, but I have two careers, three if you count blogging although I’m not sure that rises to a career just yet.  My Blog is about travel, if it’s narrowly defined as I have done many times, then I need to go somewhere in order to have something to write about.  Although I have been traveling extensively over the last month, it has been for my business, which isn’t really all that fun.  Most of my Business trips are no more than 48 hours in/out of a city for meetings.  Not exactly what I would call Blog worthy.  As I expand my view of Travel there is much to write about whether it’s about Airline Mergers and their affect on people like me and you, or just photographs that inspire me to pack a bag and go, there’s much to write about.  Now all I have to do is lift my head and recognize those stories.

Although I want to apologize to those of you who do follow my Blog, I owe you some stories for sure.  There are some very exciting things coming up in my life, some of them will make it to this Blog and some of them won’t.  But one thing is sure, the next 2-3 months are going to be quite a ride in my life.  I hope you will stick around to see what happens and what travel stories, opinions and viewpoints I will be sharing with you.

I will soon find myself back on one of my favorite Islands in the Caribbean with great friends, I am looking forward to writing about things we do while there.  In the future I will also be posting stories about various museums in Berlin, continuing the “Strange things about” series along with “Stupid things travelers do”.

Until then……

Happy Travels
